Overview

Woblu is an on-demand app that connects people with trusted handypeople for everyday household needs. From plumbing emergencies to carpentry projects, Woblu helps homeowners find the right professional to get the job done, and helps skilled workers find local jobs near them.

The idea began as "Work4U," a student innovation project co-created by The Alpha Nova founder Athif Shaffy. It won 1st place and the Best Use of Technology prize at the Cambrian R&D 2023 Student Innovation Challenge in Sudbury. Work4U later became Woblu, and the venture secured $18,000 in funding through the Costarter startup accelerator.
